Coaching

Settle your equity & anti-oppression
efforts on a foundation of awareness,
personal work & accountability.

The recent reckoning with our society's persistent inequities may have strengthened your commitment to become more aware, more responsible, or more focused on everyone mattering.

My 1:1 coaching meets you at any level of pro-equity, liberatory, anti-oppression aspiration, from newness to fluency. I apply my Tender Work framework into whatever you bring to our sessions: an uncomfortable feeling or sensation, an interaction to reflect on, a skill you want to strengthen, or a workplace conundrum. We’ll work together with your questions, creative ideas, and resistances to deepen your understanding of yourself, the larger cultural influences that have shaped you, and the way our social world works.

Coaching sessions last an hour. Pre-pay for three sessions for a 15% discount.

CONSULTATION

Keen guidance for teams, leaders & visionaries
reckoning the world you want to create
with the world in which we live.

With some skilled guidance and a clear outside perspective, you can shift your work or workplace into a more liberatory, relational, or equitable culture.

The foundation for any culture change is conversation—the kind of honest conversation that deepens relationship. Equity is based on learning about and honoring each other’s skills and responsibilities, needs and aspirations, privileges and disadvantages. When the focus is on racial equity, we need to develop a capacity to identify and respond to racialized situations. These efforts form the basis for my racial equity consultation.

I can help bring teams, workplace communities, sponsors, or leadership cohorts together into skillfully held, shared voice conversations about inequities of all varieties. I’ll bring a focus on relationship, liberatory practices, and the humor of everyday life to your goal of reflecting a commitment to equity into a strategic plan, a leadership team, or a communications approach, and more.

I prefer to consult as part of a pair or team, with folks I know or you introduce me to.

FACILITATION

Facilitation that delivers
anti-oppression content with uncommon attention
to equity of voices, participation, & design

With over 40 years educating for liberation, I bring a unique skill set to the creation of compelling, equity-focused gatherings, meetings and retreats.

Facilitation can take on many forms: listening sessions for a group in conflict, white affinity groups for an organization, culture-setting conversations for a group of multiple racial or social identities. No matter the setting, I infuse my facilitation with an anti-oppression, equity-based framework and a keen ability to humanize complex moments.

Consulting often includes facilitation, but facilitation also stands alone. Facilitation ranges from one session for a private group (e.g. study group guest facilitation), to several presentations for a conference or training), or as an ongoing engagement (e.g. monthly affinity group). My interest matches my commitment: to engage in honest, revealing and tenderly managed conversations about the mattering of all people.

I facilitate alone, with fabulous colleagues, and sometimes with people you introduce me to. For groups of mixed racial identities, I partner with a Black, Indigenous or Person of Color.
