Join SURJ’s Abolitionist Action Hour

Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) is a national network of groups and individuals organizing white people for racial and economic justice.

Each month, SURJ hosts a one-hour virtual Abolitionist Action Hour where participants make calls, sign petitions, send emails, and take online action to close jails, defund police, invest in communities, protect Indigenous rights to land and water, and more. Anyone is welcome to join. You’ll get all the briefing, orientation, talking points and other info you need.

Your action:

  • Get started on the SURJ website

  • Register for the next Abolitionist Action Hour

  • While you’re on the site, sign up for their newsletter, find your local chapter, & check out the other actions you can join
