Daily ReDistribution, Part 1

This is an immediate action in two parts: the first focuses on a wealth reality check, and the second (which I’ll share next newsletter) features creative and appropriate daily acts of redistribution - no matter where the reality check lands you.

We’re meant to remain pretty oblivious about what wealth is and how it works. The cultural push to have more and have the best keeps us forever feeling that we don’t have enough. This fortifies capitalism and serves to dehumanize us (which in turn feeds capitalism). For those of us privileged with open doors - to education, job advancement, people with shared identities in successful roles, and lack of harassment - bucking the oblivion we’re subjected to is a critical first step to immediate, meaningful daily actions.

My beta reader, having done the reality check, said, “Damn, that was eye-opening!”

Your action:

  • Click on the button below to take the wealth reality check - should take about 5 minutes to complete.

  • You can either: submit your responses, which will go to me anonymously - I plan to learn from, not share, your collective answers. Or you can fill out the form, learn from the experience, and not submit your responses.

  • Wealth can be a tender topic. You may find yourself reactive - to what you have, what you don’t have, how the system works. Take care of yourself. Consider reaching out to me for a short coaching session.

  • Read about Part 2 here.
